Daily Kasoti Peshawar is the most popular newspaper published from Peshawar. The newspaper used to be published from Peshawar three decades ago but due to some unavoidable reasons it was shut down and now it has been re-launched under the leadership of senior Pakistani journalist Amjad Aziz Malik. The Daily Kasoti Peshawar is available in 28 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
AMJAD AZIZ MALIK
Amjad Aziz Malik is ranked amongst leading journalists of Pakistan. He bears in his credit marvelous services which he has been rendering towards promotion of sports in the country; the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular besides making valuable contribution for projection and encouragement of new talents in the field of sports. Amjad Aziz Malik also carries the unique credit amongst the journalistic community of Pakistan for having covered the Olympics Games, Common Wealth Games, SAF Games, Islamic Games, Indoor Asian Games, Special Olympics Games and Paralympics Games.
Amongst commentators, he also enjoys special status as well for having done commentary of 268 international hockey matches besides being judged best commentator of Radio Pakistan for two consecutive years – 1999 and 2000. During his 35 years journalistic career, Mr. Malik has contributed more than five thousands features, articles and columns in print media. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he is the only journalist, who has written 12 books on sports; more than 300 research papers; 50 brochures and magazines on sports.
In 2013 Mr. Malik took leap forward jump to building the soft image of the country, when he won the Executive Committee Member slot of Association of International Press Sports – a world body of sports journalists – through an open election, held in Sochi, Russia. He got 71 Countries votes out of 99 Countries. In acknowledgement of valuable role which Mr. Malik has been elected un-opposed as Secretary General of Asia Chapter of AIPS; again through an open elections held in Kingdom of Bahrain on 12th Feb. 2016 and 2017 and since then he has been taking along the National Flag of Pakistan in both the capacities. This is also worth mentioning that Mr.Malik is representing 9000 Sports Journalists of 33 Asian Countries.
From the forum of Malik Saad Memorial Sports Trust, Mr. Amjad Aziz Malik being its Secretary General is constantly engaged to projecting the immortal sacrifices of the martyrs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Force and has made solid contribution to maintaining its worthwhile relationships with the families of martyrs. Enabling youngsters both of the province and FATA to get their talents acknowledged under the aegis of the trust is one of the well acknowledged services of Mr. Malik and as a result, ten players have secured their accessibility to national level teams.
